grid [analysis]

the intent of this experiment was to first understand the proper use of attractors and {repulsers}. . . .the hexagonal grid was generated first which was then inter-{weaved} with the other attractor and {repulsers}.
the next step was to fill in each hexagon with something. . .i created a surface from this grids using the [surface grid] tool and added a slider to this which surprisingly gave to different types of surfaces. . . .
just by 1 integer different the surface that was created was absolutely different from the above and dare i say more interesting than the first one generated. . .so i took the extra effort to [pipe] the grid up in grasshopper to give the grid more definition which i then rendered in rhino. . . .

  1. I really want to understand how you got the hexagonal mesh to deform with attractors ... as per your post in May 9th 2010... http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_GhfLnZACRw4/S-avIWkCdPI/AAAAAAAAACc/3A26nEPQf8g/s1600/hexgrid.jpg
I have tried all sorts with no luck so far ...
It looks like just what I need
